Gallant

I was extremely honored that Gallant Magazine asked me to be a featured blogger in their Spring Issue. I was also extremely nervous. The theme was spring and free reign to represent that. I had so many ideas but then none at all. I knew I wanted to do it at Slice of Heaven, a sim that I've been obsessed with recently and parked my truck there. I'm slowly exploring how to do full scenes, rather then bust shots. *I do prefer bust and headshots, but I wanted to push myself with this. The idea of experimentation was terrifying as my style keeps changing as I try new techniques but I wanted to offer a piece to Gallant that I had never done before.

When the magazine released I was just as nervous as before. I had seen the line up of names from breath taking photographers and bloggers, and I was scared I would look like an impostor amongst them. I'm a newbie that's been blogging a little over a month and I felt I would stick out like a sore thumb.. I didn't skip any pages and as I thumbed through Gallant, my jaw kept dropping. I wasn't going to rush to just see what I created. There were so many beautiful and creative pieces that showcased Spring in such an elegant way. Even the articles were written beautifully. When I got to my photo I wasn't nervous anymore, and felt like it did belong there. Spring brings new beginnings, and I'm happy that we can take them together.
